This is hardly a new story, but we just had to post it anyway. The government of the Maldives have held the world’s first underwater cabinet meeting to highlight the possible effects of climate change upon their country. Put simply, the entire island chain could slide into the sea. Yes, it might be a publicity stunt, but it’s a pretty good one as it goes, and it has generated some fantastic images.
We also love the amount of anger this has caused among some Daily Mail readers who have commented on the story, which is worth reading in itself, not least the assertion that it is in fact termites which are causing 98% of global warming!
Wake up guys. This stuff is too real to take a chance on it not being our fault…
