House of cards

We say house, it’s really more of a skyscraper…

This is in fact the world’s largest house of cards, just completed by Bryan Berg. The structure is in fact an exact replica of the Venetian hotel in Macau, and measures 33 feet wide by 10 feet across.

Now we saw this and just assumed he had cheated and glued the thing together. But no – the entire thing is actually stacked, and apparently collapsed several times during construction.

In total, it has 218,792 cards, from 4,051 packs, and took a mere 44 days to build. And it even looks impressively like the original, within which it now resides.

Berg hopes to inspire others with his creation. If he does, there are too many people with too much time on their hands…
